Network Engineer – VOIP
Security Clearance: United States Government TS/SCI with Polygraph required
Description: Voice/ Video Network Engineer to configure, test and install VoIP telephony equipment. Responsible for creating network diagrams and documentation, perform site surveys, create parts list, configure and test equipment, coordinate installations and activate equipment. Also responsible for performing analysis and troubleshooting operational issues; planning and executing upgrade and migration activities.
Performs as a consultant in highly specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies; Provides highly technical and specialized guidance concerning automated solutions to complex information processing problems; Performs elaborate analyses and studies; Prepares reports and gives presentations. Manages the project work as defined by the government. Leads medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects. Provides highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems; performs elaborate analyses and studies. Also manages fact-finding, analysis and development of hypothesis/conclusions, production of final reports and delivery of presentations. Responsible for ensuring that the project delivers to government expectations on time and within budget.
Occasional travel to non-hostile locations may be required
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
Ten (10) years of experience with a Master’s Degree, twelve (12) with a Bachelor’s Degree.
Must have experience with:
• Cisco VoIP telephony and network equipment
• Cisco VTC equipment
• Cisco Call Managers and associated hardware
• Must meet the requirements for DoD 8570 IAT Level II Compliance (Security+ certification)
Additional years of experience may qualify candidates for higher level Network Engineer positions.
